The Studio
My name is Alcestis Perdikari and I am a Conservator of Works of Art and a Ceramist. I set up my first Studio in 2018, a local sustainable business located in a historic building of 1948 in the town of Drama, Greece, a place where I practiced Conservation and I also created my ceramic works.
The studio was practically a workspace specially designed to embrace my two professions that support and complete each other.
In June 2023 I’ve opened a retail shop in the historical centre of Preveza town, where I finally moved my studio permanently in 2024.
The Ceramic Objects
As a Ceramist I design, create and produce entirely handmade artefacts and utilitarian objects, from forming and shaping the clay to firing, a procedure that gives me the freedom to produce works that are subject to no artistic limitations.
Experimentations are a common occurrence in the studio and as a result, all the ceramic works , even if they resemble one another they are always a bit different, making them unique.
I produce both Earthenware and Stoneware ceramics, either glazed or not depending on the desired use, while the amount of products remains limited. Every piece coming out of the studio bears my personal signature.
